The wicket was covered during the heavy rain of the previous day, and was not affected, but the outfield was sodden and slow. For Paddington against Waver ley Datson made 71, and for Cumberland against. Glebe Waddy made 76 and Edwards 62. Bowling for Waverley, Caswell took five for 45; For Paddington, Asher took four for 85. For Glebe, Clarke took four for 38, and for Cumberland, Bosley took five for 74.
