FREEZING WORKERS
UNIONISTS AND VOLUNTEERS. ALLIANCE OFFICIALS CRITICISED. (Peb United Press Association.) HASTINGS, December 9. At a meeting of freezing workers hold to discuss the question of the relationship between unionists and such voluntary labour as is still employed at two of the works, the Alliance of Labour officials were freely criticised on their conduct of the recent freezing dispute, and a motion of no confidence with the Alliance officials was carried. It was also 'decided to ask Messrs Roberts and Glover (Alliance officials) to come to Hastings and explain their actions. The matter of working with voluntary labour was referred to a committee, and it is hoped that a settlement will be arrived at by the voluntary men joining the union.
