POWER OF ATTORNEY
COURT’S DECISION SOUGHT {Special to Uaile Tisies.) CHRISTCHURCH. December 9. The refusal of D. G. Wright to execute certain securities to the Bank of Hew Zealand on farm properties, in addition to the securities already held by the bank on the properties, led to an action in the Supreme Court before his Honor Mr Justice MacGregor this morning. Mr Wright would not execute the securities in accordance with a deed of compromise, and the bank, wishing to have the position made abundantly clear, asked the court to decide on the question of its power of attorney. The securities and mortgages were in reference to the stock and chattels upon the sheep stations and farms known as Surrey Hills Station, Erewhon Station, and upon Woodvale, Silverstream, and Lincoln fields. His Honor gave judgment in favour o£ the bank.
