A DEMOCRATIC PRINCE

URINE IN PUBLIC-HOUSE. VISIT TO “BRICKLAYERS’ ARMS.” (Press Association- By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, December 8. (Received Dec. 9, at 5.5 p.m.) The Prince of Wales, who last week partnered several girl workers at an exservicemen’s dance in South London, last night attended an ex-servicemen’s club dance in the East End, after which he accompanied a group into a public-house nearby, “The Bricklayer’s Arms” at Stepney Green. “What’ll you have?’ cried a score of men who were crowded in the bar. “A glass of ale,” said the Prince, “and I’ll draw it myself.” He thereupon went behind the bar and drew the ale. Nodding to the crowd he drank it, and then departed amid cheers. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
