(Received Dec. 9, at 5.5 p.m.) Fascist militia and an infantry battalion arc scournig the terror-stricken countryside for the bandit Ballastro and his gang, who are suspected of murdering a young Fascist named Nino Cavarino at Ventimiglia, as well as two carabinieri at Milan and two gendarmes named Sommaschino and Gerby, whose bodies were found at Campotra while Cavarino’s funeral was in progress.—A. and N.Z.
