Bobbing the hair, and skirts more than six inches off the ground, are banned by the divisional officer of the Salvation Army in' West Hartlepool. Of 250 Staffordshire women, who lately visited Blackpool together, more than 200 had never seen the sea, and many had never been in a train before.
