SHIPMENT OF PARASITES. DR TILLYARD’S GOOD OFFICES. (Press A sac elation —By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, December 5. Dr Tillyard (of the Cawthron Institute, Nelson) has sailed by the Corinthic, taking with him 250 parasites of earwigs, which are intended to destroy earwigs m New Zealand. These parasites are scarce in the present year, necessitating Dr Tillyard searching throughout Europe, They cost Is each. He is also taking several kinds of insects which it is hoped will destroy blackberry and brambles. Before they are liberated they will be tested to ascertain the effect on other plants.—A. and N.Z.
