AUSTRALIAN LABOUR
THE HO OVERTIME STRIKE. WATERSIDERS’ LONE HAND. (Pres* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, December 6. The Coal Lumpers’ Union, at a special meeting, decided not to cease work in support of the waterside workers’ noovertime strike until instructed by the union officials to do so. This is the second rebuff received by the watersiders in the past week. It is known that a number of other maritime unions, including those of the stewards, marine cooks, bakers, and butchers support the stand taken by the seamen and the lumpers. Notwithstanding this opposition, the watersiders seem determined to continue the strike.
