Marconi interviewed the Pope and discussed the annulmen tof his marriag". A preliminary decree was granted by the Curia of Westminster on the ground of the defective legality of his marriage with Miss Beatrice O'Brien. If was stated by Signor Marconi that his wife made it a condition before marriage that she could separate whenever she should wish, and this, Mr Marconi claims, nullifies the marriage in Roman Catholic canon law. It is now rumoured that Mr Marconi is engaged to marry a member of the old Roman aristocracy.—A. and N.Z. Cable. M. Marconi was married in 1905 to the Hon. Beatrice O'Brien, a daughter of Lord Inchiquin. The marriage was dissolved in 1924. There are three children.
