THIRD SANDERS CUR TRIAL. The third Sanders Cup trial race will bo sailed this afternoon on the nppe r harbour, probably over a triangular course. The certain starters are Winifred, Kia Ora, Heather, and Eunice. Winifred has a big lead for honours, as she has already secured '8 points, as against Kia Ora’s 3 points YACHT CLUB OPENING AND RACES. The Otago Yacht and Motor Boat' Club i will open its 1926-27 season this afternoon ) in conjunction with the Broad Bay Club, | and the first scries of races will be dc- j cided. The entries for the various events are as follows: — General Handicap Yacht Race (all comers). —Experiment. Minnow, Sea Hawk, Shadow, Vera, and Ngyra, Sailing Dinghy Race (I2ft and under). — Colleen, Chance. Motor Boat Race (over 7 horse-power).— Ngaio. Norana, Stella, Marewa, Eclipse, Ripple. Motor Boat Race (under 7 horse-power). —Arawa, Southern Star, Doris, Nell, and Silver Fern. RACE AT MACANDREW BAY. The first race of the season, under the auspices of the North-East Harbour Boat- i ing Club, will bo sailed this afternoon between 16ft yachts and under. It is expected that the starters will be Moba, ’ Mavis, Agnes. Spray. Vision, and the newj Tauranga class 7ft sailing dinghy.
