CHEAPER AIR FARES
FROM LONDON TO PARIS. LONDON, September 15. Imperial Airways (Ltd.) will .reduce the single fare from London to Pans to to os, as compared with £6 6s at present. FIRES. TWENTY-ROOMED DWELLING BURNT. (Pee United Pbess Association.) GISBORNE, September 27. A spectacular blare occurred this afternoon, the residence of Walter Parker, a modern dwelling of 20 rooms, situated on the Whataupoko Heights, being totally destroyed. The insurance on the house is £6850, but that on the furniture is unavailable at present.
