Annie Elizabeth Brown was fined £75 for using premises, as a common gaminghouse on September 16, and Henry William Hume for assisting was fined £lO. The premises were those of a tobacconist and hairdressing saloon occupied by ner husband. The betting transacted took place in the office. , . , , Decision was reserved m the charge against Thomas Alfred Brown of wilfully permitting his premises to be used as a common gaming-house by lus wife.
