Loyal Prince of Wales Juvenile Lodge wore entertained with lantern views shown by Bro. Pickard. The pictures were ot "early Port Chalmers.” Bro Pickard was accorded a vote of thanks for his loctuic. A candidate was initiated in a manner that was creditable to the young officers. The meeting of the Loyal Dunedin Lodge held in Stuart, Street Hall, was presided over by N.G. Bro. Cowio. Ho was ably supported by his now officers, \vho all acquitted themselves well in their new duties. The lodge met the Centenary brethren in a card shield match in which the Dunedin lodge members were the winners. The lodge was in mourning out of respect to the memory of the late P.G. Bro. Luscombe, who had completed 50 years of membership. Sympathetic reference was made by P.G. Bro Scoones and P.G. Bro. A. Guild to the deceased brother. It was decided to enter for the shield competition. A full official visit was received from Centenary Lodge, and it was decided to make a return visit. Loyal Albion Lodge meeting in the Stuart Street Hall was assisted by the presence of the members of the District Executive. The installation of officers by the Prov. G.M and brethren was conducted in an impressive manner. The new officers wore as follows: —G.M., Bro. C. L. Calvert; N.G., Bro. F. Cunningham; VG Bro. E. Coxhead; E.Sec.. Bro. A, G Monk; Warden, Bro. Alpine; Guardian, Bro. Gifford. During the evening D.P.G.M. Bro. Stabb delivered an address on tho surplus question, asking that the matter be well considered, and outlining various schemes proposed. It w-as, J lO stated, desired that its disposal should be for the benefit mainly of those who might be in need of assistance. Bro. E Doll was welcomed as a now member, and a friendly game of cards, Albion v. Caversham Lodge, resulted in a win for tho latter. Loyal Roxburgh I.odge meeting was presided over by N.G. Bro. J. Duncan, Bro C. Kitto being elected to the \ .G. chair. The lodge decided again to enter for tho shield competition, and made a good start by initiating throe now members. The ‘‘disposal of surplus question received much attention and was adourned for further consideration. It is anticipated that some definite proposal will bo sent forward to tho surplus committee at an early date. The members of the District Executive made a trip to Waikouaiti for the purpose of meeting a special attendance and assistin" in the installation of tho officers ot the lodge. Prov. G.M. Clarke, assisted by his fellow-officers conducted the ceremony, installing in office N.G. Bro. Alex. Murray V.G. Bro. R. M‘Clew. E. hoc. Bro. A. T. Park, Warden Bro. H. H. Bell, Guardian Bro. H. D. Park. D. Prov. G. M. Bro. Stabb spoke on the disposal ot surplus question, making it quite deal that in the Otago consolidated district every lodge, however humble, would share in the benefits. Speeches of welcome were made by Bro. Miaxwell Stew-art and others of Waikouaiti Lodge, who expressed thenhearty appreciation of the visit of tho The newly-elected officers of the Loyal Centenary Lodge took their chairs in the Oxford Street Lodgeroom as follows: G.M. Bro. Scott N.G. Bro. Roberts, V.G. Rro. M‘Swain, E. See. Bro. Hobbard, Warden Bro. Mercer, Guardian Bro. larqnharson. On official visit was received from all city lodges, the Dunedin Lodge especially being largely represented. A gathering of nearly 100 Oddfellows w-as well entertained with musical anl other items by P.G.M. Bro. Clarke, song and piano and piano and flute solo with Bro. 11.I 1 . Clarke; Bro. Morise, cornet solo; Bros. Macintosh and Freeman, banjo solos; Bro. W. Gillian, violin solo; P.O. Bros. W, Rosevcare and IT. Bond, songs; Sister Isaacs contributed two enjoyable recitations; and Bro. Campbell acted as accompanist and played a piano solo.
