TRAVELLERS’ "BIG DAY."

Arrangements for the Commercial Travellers’ “Big Day” ore well in liand. A large amount of goods has now been packed, and still further contributions have yet to come in. It is the fifth annual attempt of the men on the road to assist the poor and needy. It is anticipated that not less than 25,000 parcels will bo made up, and these, along with special lots, including quarter tons of coal, firewood, dolls, suit lengths, orders on photographers, tickets for the Orchestral Society and Dunedin Male Choir, hair outs, concession rides on trams, and many other gifts, will bring in a goodly sum to relieve some of the existing need for assistance. It requires only a fine day on Friday, July 31, to recompense those for the work entailed in such laudable undertakings.
