A HOTEL FIRE.
BOARDERS’ HASTY EXIT (Per Exited Press Association - .) GISBORNE, May 28. The Tatnponri Hotel, 10 miles from Gisborne, was destroyed by lire this morning. Tlie only two boarders, Mr and Mrs Lines, of Wellington, escaped in their night attl with the utmost difficulty. The fire spread very quickly, and in 20 minutes the whole structure had gone. The insurance on the building was £2OOO in the Norwich Union Office; furniture and fittings, £940; stock, £350- The buildings was owned by G. Gillott, of Hamilton.
