CROQUET.

TAIBRI LADIES’ CLUB. To augment the funds of the Taien Ladies’ Croquet Club, a euchre party was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Mosgiel, on Thursday night. The attendance was good, and the evening proved very enjoyable. The prize-winners were Mrs Ryan and Mr F. Smeaton Mr J. Tait tied with the latter for most games, but in the play-off Mr Smeaton won. Tho consolation prizes went to Miss L. Cameron and Mr J. Ede. On behalf of the chib, the Mayor returned thanks to all who had helped- It is the club’s intention to hold a similar evening, with a dance to follow, at an early date.
