NIGGER MINSTRELS AT THE PRINCESS.
Ye Olde Time Fun Showe is an apt description of the Nigger Minstrels who will appear at the Princess Theatre on Monday evening. These Minstrel shows have been revived in America and Australia with great success and many old Princess patrons will remember ana again welcome this form of entertainment, as it will bring back memories of their younger days; whilst to the young people it will be a distinct novelty The company that makes in appearance on Monday night includes such old-time favourites as Ward Lear. Jack Kearns Will Kenny, George Day, and John Rorke The three last-named have exceptionally fine voices, anil their singing of some of the old-time ballads is a revelation A feature of the Minstrels is Linn Smith’s Ragtime Band, which admirably mixes jazz with some sweet old songs. Ihe Minstrels will bo supported by the George Ward Snapshot Revue Company in a new production entitled “Not Yet.” Patrons are assured of one of the best programmes seen at the Princess for a long time.
