RISING ATTENDANCE TOTAL.
YESTERDAY’S HOLIDAY THOUSANDS. It may safely be said that the clerk of the weather alone can tell if the coverted three million attendance total will be reached. It requires but little more than the past daily average to achieve that overwhelming success, and if sunshine "ill help it can be done. Yesterday proved that public interest in Dunedin’s vest-pocket edition of the Empire is as strong as ever. The weather was perfect, and big crowds arrived from morning till night. The band of the ru'gyll and Sutherland Highlanders played before thousands in the Grand Court, while pavilions and Amusements Par’- were full. Most of the Easter visitors to Dunedin have now departed with happy memories of Logan Park and its wonders, but those who remain help to swell the big daily totals. Yesterday the busy turnstiles recorded 20,101, and the grand total is now 2,558,772.
