CANTERBURY TRIALS. BETTY’S SUCCESS. (Peh United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, January 21. The eighth and ninth test luces for tho selection of Canterbury’s Sondera Cup representative were hold in Lyttelton Harbour on Saturday afternoon. Betty won both races, the first by two minutes from Secret, Usherbun" third and Linnett H fourth. In the sooorul race she won by 2min ssoc, defeating Linnett 11. . , \ 'further teat race was held amongst the Takanuna punt class for the purpose of selecting a crew to represent Canterbury at Dunedin in the Cornwell Cup contest The race was won by Silver Plano (K.
