ST. KILDA COUNCIL.
The fortnightly meeting of the St. h-iWa-Borough Council last night was attended by the Mavor (Mr R. W. Hall) and Crs It. B. Pattrick, C. Sims, T. Roy, Bcattie, E. Longvvorth, R. Telfer, J. Fleming, 11. 11. Leary, J. D. M'Ourdie. CORRESPONDENCE. A letter was received from the Municipal Association in connection with the conference order paper from which certain remits had been excluded as unsuitable for consideration. A committee consisting of the Mayor, Crs Leary, Teller and RPOurdi© was set up to consider proposals in the order paper for the Municipal Conference in February. This committee was appointed as the resuit of a letter from the Petono Soroush Council, asking the Council’s support in certain measures for the control of omnibus traffic. The Mayor was appointed the Council’s delegate at the Municipal conference. The total water consumption in the borough for the four weeks ended January 16 was 10,103,000 gallons, costing £232 15s 6d. The quarterly figures up to December 31 was 32,169,000 gallons costing £Bl5 9b 6d. For the year ended on the same day the total consumption was 118,586,000 gallons at a cost of £2964 12s.
