MOSGIEL CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. Th? ninth annual general meeting of shareholders of the Mosgiel Co-operative Dairy Factory Company was held in the Ex-change Buildings, Mosgiel, on Saturday evening. Mr William Blackio was in the chair, and about 20 shareholders were in attendance. The annual report and balance sheet for the year ended July 31, 1925, were adopted. The report stated that the amount available for disbursement as shown by the balance sheet was £856 6s 6d, which the directors recommended be distributed as follows:—Make further pavment on butterfat—id per lb September to May, £2C9.3s 2d; depreciation on plant, £161: denreciation on buildings, £110; reserve fund, £350; and carry forward, £26 3s 3d. Tho output of cheese had been 265,6811 b. Cheese had been made for nine months (SeptemberMay). _ During the other three months the milk had been separated, and cream sold. Advance payments of Is 4d per lb butterfat had been made throughout tho year. The choese made during September to middle of March had been sold on an f.o.b. basis, and tho remainder consigned. The output up to the end of December had been sold at 9|d f.o.b. As suppliers were aware, the company made a number of entries at the Otago and Auckland Winter Shows, and secured fivo first prizes at the former show and several prizes at Auckland. All cheese manufactured throughout the season had graded high, and the company had been placed tenth in order of merit for grading for tho whole of New Zealand. The manager and his assistants were to bo congratulated on the results achieved. .Messrs Bradbury and Allan (the retiring directors) and the retiring auditor (Mr J A. Hopcraft) .were re-elected. At the close of tho business a couple of hours were spone in social intercourse, and a short programme of toasts interspersed with songs was gone through.
