A British engineering firm with offices in London has just’ completed for Nigeria a suction cutter tin dredge of 80,000 cubic yards a month easy working capacity. It is fitted with a revolving screen, extra largo table area covering the whole length of the pontoon, a compound surface condensing engine direct coupled to the gravel pump and fitted with manganese steel liners. An auxiliary pump is driven by a similar engine, and the cutter by a third engine of the same class. It is also fitted with a very powerful six-barrel steam driven winch, and a full list of spares, and everything is of the latest design. The total cost was £l9 000, f.o.b. The dredger was designed, built, and delivered f.o.b. in four months and a-hai't from the date of the order. NEW ZEALAND FARMERS’ COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION. (From Our Own Correspondent.)
