POST AND TELEGRAPH OFFICERS.
ALLIANCE OF LABOUR. QUESTION OP AFFILIATION. (Peb United Thess Association.) WELLINGTON, August 4. At the Post and Telegraph Officers’ conference to-day tho following resolution was carried: “That this conference recommends that, so soon as the Government withdraws tho embargo cm affiliation with the Alliance of Labour the attitude of members of the association thereto bo ascertained by a further postal ballot on the question; further, the conference reaffirms its belief that the Post and Telegraph Officers’ Association has always possessed a constitutional right to organise along such lawful lines as it thinks fit, and again expresess the belief that the embargo placed by the Government on the association’s intention to affiliate with the Alliance of Labour was unconstitutionally imposed.”
