BOWLING.
LEITH CLUB. Tho first animal meeting of the Leith Bowling Club was Held on Monday evening in the George Street School Hall. Mr John Gray (president) occupied the chair. The President, in moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, stated that the past year had been one of beginnings, and the work that had been done, in making an unsightly spot beautiful had elicited favourable comment. The memberc.iiip, all things considered, had .been good. The'croquet section was looking forward to better limes. AVilh regard to building a pavilion, rough plans had boon considered and in i’hc meantime arrangements had been made to erect a small clubhouse. The green had cost £l9l, and the whole amount had been paid, and there was £ls in hand. This, ho considered, was quite an achicvemMr*AV. Paterson seconded the motion, and another sneaker was Air C. A\ . AA ilson. The motion was curried. The following office-bearers were elected: President. Air C. A. Wilson; vice-presidents, Messrs li- Kowlcy and Walter Paterson; secretary, Mr u. Kowlcy; treasurer, Mr E. Paterson; auditor, Air Jl, Ferguson; green supervisor, Air 0. C. Tbiwlinson ; Green Committee, Messrs Pane and Cunningham; committee—Messrs liinaslon, K. Ferguson, Campbell, Newer, and B. Ferguson: Match and Selection Committee— Messrs Page, Hawlingson, Kowlcy.
