ENTERTAINING THE SAILORS. MOSGIEL’S PREPARATIONS. A public mooting was held at Mosgiel last evening to consider a letter from the Mayor of Dunedin (Mr 11. L. Taploy) concerning the entertainment of a detachment of the men of the American fleet. It was decided to advise the Mayor that Mosgiel would bo glad to assist the Dunedin committee, and that it would be willing to entertain 200 men. Committee* were set up to carry out the arrangements.
