FUSION NEGOTIATIONS.
FINALITY NOT YET EEACHED. NO OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT. (.hut United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 15. Fusion is still simmering. There have been several meetings between the leaders of the .Reform and Liberal Parties during the week-end, but. the negotiations have not yet reached finality. Unless something unforeseen happens the Liberal Party will meet in caucus to-night, and it is confidently anticipated that this week will see matters settled one way or the other, but no official announcement is likely to be made whether fusion is on or off until it can be done on. the floor of the House. LIBERAL CAUCUS. PARTY LEADERS CONFER. (From Odb Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, July 13. The Liberal Party is meeting in caucus to-night; Mr Wilford says there will be nothing to report. Shortly alter 8 o’clpck Mr Wilford conferred with the Prime Minister.
