NEW MOSCOW CANARD. SOVIET FEARFUL OF WAR. Prarj Association—By Telegraph—Copyrighv LONDON, July 12. (Received July 13, at 7 p-m.) The Riga oarrespondent of The Times says; “In the latest anti-British canard invented and circulated by Moscow it is alleged that the British Government is scheming to overthrow the Soviet regime. According to the Soviet press the British have made overtures to Latvia, Poland and Esthonia, inviting their participation in a military campaign against Moscow, while the British fleet occupies the Baltic ports. Responsible Soviet officials insist that the repot is correct. “M. Frunze (Commissar of War) addressing the Red troops, said he was ready for an open declaration of war by the (British because it was impossible to doubt that preparations for an attack were being made.’’ —The Times.
