WELL-KNOWN ARCHAEOLOGIST. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. ROME, July 10. The death of Giacomo Boni, the wellknown archaeologist, is announced. A State funeral is being arranged.—A. and N.Z. Cable. Giacomo Boni, who was an bon. LL.D. of Cambridge University, was director of the excavations in the Roman ho rum and on the Palatine and a member of the Superior Council of Antiquities and Fine Arts. He was born in Venice on April 25, 1859. As a students he made journeys in most’ of the ancient provinces of the Roman Empire. He was the author of a number of works on archajological subjects. _____________
