PAPER FROM CANADA
PORT ALICE PULP PLANT. REORGANISATION ARRANGED. VANCOUVER, June 25. ' The Whalen Company’s grea.t paper pulp plant at Port Ailioe, on the west coast of Vancouver Island, which lately has been in financial difficulties, has nowbeen reorganised. It is understood that Lord Beaverbrook, the proprietor of the Evening Standard, the Daily Express, and the Sunday Express, is backing the business, with a programme of improvements on a large scale, which will doable the size of the plant. The new- equipment will bo patterned on that in the late Lord Northcliff’s Newfoundland venture.
