TRAVELLERS’ “BIG DAY.”
The fourth annual Commercial Travellers’ and Warehousemen’s Association of Otago's “Bi," Dav’’ to raise funds- to rolievo distress in the city and suburbs is now well under wav. Meetings of the oxocutfvo and collecting committees have been held, and a busy libnd will soon bo collecting subscriptions in the way of goods, and donations of cash. It is not the intention of the travellers to aim at exceeding each year’s record, hut rather in maintaining the high standard already attained m the conducting of the “Big Day” and in giving the investing public reasonable value for its outlav. Last year’s compaign resulted in gifts of cash and goods amounting to £3CO, which, fcv judicious handling, brought in no less a sum than over £IBOO to be, banded over to local charitable institutions and the Commercial Travellers’ Blind Soldiers and Sailors’ Fund, llic excellent support winch has hitherto been given to “Big flay” bv all trades, professions, and _ businesses, 5« an assurance that there will be nothing lacking in this respect in 1925.
