Entries for the combined novice and open boxing tournament, which the Southland Boxing Association proposed to hold on Juno 18 and 19, closed on Thursday afternoon, when it was discovered that the entries received were so few that a tournament could not be held with any reasonable hopes of success. It was therefore decided that it would be better to postpone it to some future date.
