Speaking at the Education Conference Miss Haigh (head mistress of tho Highgate Girls’ School) said that she asked a class which problems were exercising their minds. The answers were :—First: Is there an end of space? Secondly ; People spend their lives trying to 'bo good, but they do not seem to be very nappy. There does not seem to be much fun, in it. Thirdly: Why, with such unemployment, do people lament the fall in the birth rate?—Aand N.Z. Cable.
