Cambridge University, playing against the Army, in their first innings made 415 (Duleep Singh 128), and in their second 19 for tWo wickets. The Army in their first innings scored 196, and is their second 238. Cambridge won by eight wickets. Middlesex, playing against Sussex, scored 383 in theix first innings (Hearno 117, Hendren 56). Tate took eight wickets for 105. In their second innings they scored 45 for two wickets. Sussex in their first innings scored 218 (Watson 54). Durston took four wickets for 29. In their second innings they scored 209 (Bow ley 68). Haig took four wicketa for - 37. Middlesex won by eight wickets. Notts, playing against Surrey, scored 399 in their first innings (George Gunn 117, Walker 78). Fender took five wickets for 99. In their second innings they .scored 231 for six wickets (Payton 89 not out, ■ Walker 50). • Surrey in their first innings scored 464 (Sandham 56, Jeacocke 50). Barratt Took five wickets for 89. Surrey won on the first innings. Yorkshire, playing Lancashire, scored 232 in their first innings (Holmes 51, Rhodes 59). Parkin took four wickets for 63. In their second innings they scored 186 for six wickets (Rhodes 54 not out). Lancashire won on the first innings. Kent, against Hampshire, made 107 in their first innings (Collins 64), and in their second 156. Jamieson took five wickets for 18. Hampshire in their first innings 'scored 305 (Tennyson 50, Bow ell 88, . Jamieson 58), and in their second 51 for three wickets. Hampshire won by seven wickets and three runs. For Warwick against Derby, Stephens made 121. Warwick won on the first innings. For Northants against Leicester, Wright took five wickets for 29, and for Leices ter, Skelding took eight for 78 and six for 45. Leicester won. For Gloucester against Somerset, Porker took five wickets for 71 and five for 26Gloucester won. Por Worcester against Essex, Root took seven wickets for 97. Essex won.—Renter.
