. JOCKEY INJURED. P. Keene, a well-known jockey, who had the mount on Captain Sarto in the Otago Hurdle Handicap yesterday at the Dunedin Jockey Club’s meeting at Wingatui, was seriously injured when the horse tell at the hurdle at the bottom of the straight. Ho was Quickly placed in an ambulance and conveyed to the Dunedin Hospital, where an examination showed that he was suffering from a fractured skull. Ho is on the seriously ill list MISS M'LBAN’S CONDITION. Miss M'Lean, who was injured as fcbe result of being crushed between a motor car and a horse trough at Elgin road on Saturday afternoon last, and as a consequence had to have a leg amputated, is progressing fairly well at the Dunedin Hospital. ' SERIOUS INJURIES. A man named Worcester, of Lawrence, 35 years of age and married, was admitted to Dunedin .Hospital yesterday suffering from serious injuries. No particulars were available.
