The tour of the Prince of Woles in the south-eastern districts was equally as successful as his visit to Capetown. Everywhere ho was received with unbounded enthusiasm. In all the towns and villages along tho route the people turned out eagerly to greet him. The population in those districts is largely Dutch. The Prince’s evident pleasure in mixing with them was much appreciated. At the various townships ho was met and escorted by Large commandoes. Everywhere features of the welcome were the crowds of children and ex-servicemen. The Prince visited the famous Congo caves.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
