MISS DOROTHEA VINCENT.
The first of the two pianoforte recitals to be given in Dunedin by Miss Dorothea Vincent will be given this evening in Burns Hall, and there is every indication that a large audience will greet this charming and accomplished English artist when she appears at the piano. The programme which Miss Vincent will present is a magnificent one, and comprises works of our modern composers, such as Cyril Scott and John Ireland. Debussy is represented by two bracketed items, “La Cathodrale Engloutic” and “Jardins Sous la Pluic,”, and Chopin. Liszt, Mozart, and Beethoven find places on Miss Vincent’s programme. Miss Vincent has achieved outstanding success in the Queen’s Hall, London, where she played along with the famous Queen’s Hall Orchestra, under the leadership of Sir Henry Wood. Dunedin’s many music lovers should rally in force at Burns Hall tonight as a musical treat is assured. Seats can bo reserved at Begg’s.
