ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
SUICIDE IN HOTEL. (Per United Press Association.) WANGANUI, February 15. Thomas Little Shaw, aged about 25, who arrived from Auckland on Friday, committed suicide at the Criterion Hotel on Saturday night by cutting his throat. SUDDEN DEATH. (Pas United Press AssociationJ TIMARU, February 14. Hugh M'Donnell (aged 50), a farmer residing in Orari Gorge, died suddenly while resting on a. seat on the Marine parade yesterday afternoon. He had been receiving medical attention for heart trouble, and an inquest is unnecessary. Gideon Anderson, a married man, 42 years of age, was admitted to the Dunedin Hospital on Saturday afternoon, suffering from injuries to his back. The injured man was struck by a coal basket which fell from the Wingatui while coaling at the wharf. Ho resides at No. 38 Woodhaugh street.
