A GIG CAPSIZES, FATHER AND CHILD INJURED (Per United Press Association.) TAUMARUNUI, January S. At Kirikau to-day a gig- capsized, resulting in Mr T. Tussoll sustaining a fractured arm, and his child, aged four months, a fractured skull. Both were removed to hospital. YOUNG BOY DROWNED. (Per United Press Association.) WESTPORT, January 8. Ronald Avery, the 13-year-old son of Mr Alfred Avery, of the Harbour Signal Station, was drowned tins afternoon in a lagoon off the Buffer River while he was bathing with his two brothers. The body was quickly recovered, but all efforts to restore animation failed.
