After bunkering there she will proceed to Geelong to discharge the remainder of her cargo of sulphur from Galveston (Texas). The Waimarino left Port Chalmers late yesterday afternoon for Newcastle, where she will load another cargo of coal for a New Zealand port. The Whangape loaded a quantity of wool at Port Chalmers yesterday for transhipment at Sydney for Eastern States. She sailed at 4.30 p.m. for Bluff, where the remainder of her Australian cargo will be discharged The vessel i? expected to leave Bluff to-morrow for Sydney and Newcastle, at which ports she will load general cargo, eoal, and timber for Lyttelton, Oamaru, Dunedin, and BluffThe Opihi completed descharging her coal cargo last evening. She will go to Port Chalmers this morning to undergo survey. The vessel is expected to load at Duntdin about tho middle of next week for Wellington. Nelson, and New Plymouth. The Canterbury Company's steamer Breeze is due at Dunedin this morning from Wellington direct. She is to sail to-night for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Gale in expected to complete her overhaul at Port Chalmers to-morrow. She hfas been fixed to load at uunedin on Monday fo r Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. The Hoimdale, which arrived here yesterday afternoon from Wellington and Lyttelton, is listed to sail to-morrow afternoon for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Kaitoke is due her© to-morrow morning from Port Stephens and Bluff to discharge a part cargo of timber and poles. The Flora was expected to leave Wellington last night for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due here to-morrow, and is listed to sail on Monday for Napier and Gisborne, via ports. The Kamona has fbeen fixed to load at Wostport and Greymoufch about Monday for Bluff and Dunedin. The Oreti went to Port Chalmers yesterday morning to complete her survey. She is expected to resumo running early next week. Captain J. G. Watson has resumed command of the Waimarino. Captain H. S. Whyborn, who had been in temporary command of the vessel, left Dunedin yesterday for Wellington to await instructions. The Corinna is due at Dunedin on January 16 from Wellington to load for Welington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. She will also load at Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton. Tho Katoa, which is now undergoing survey at Port Chalmers, will be re-comrnis-Bioned early next week. She will load ;,t Dunedin about Wednesday and at Timaru and Lyttelton towards tho end of the week for Wellington and Auckland. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Waimate arrived at Wellington at noon on Wednesday from Brisbane to commence loading for England. The C. and D. Line steamer Port Melbourne lef 1 Auckland on Wednesday evening for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Port Chalmers to dischargo tho remainder of hor cargo from Liverpool. She is duo here on January IG. The Canadian Explorer, which left Halifax on December 24, sailed from New London at 7 a.m. on December 31 with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, and Adelaide. Sha ib due at Auckland on February 4.

Tho Zealandio, from Bluff, will berth early this morning at Port Chalmers to load wool. The Illingworth, which has discharged 1000 tone of sulphur at Port Chalmers, will leave this morning for Newcastle to bunker, and will thence proceed to Geelong to complete her discharge. The Government steamer Tutanekai is having engine room repairs effected at Wellington, and will not bo ready for her northern trip for another 12 days. The C. zi.-rrl D. Line announce that the Port Hunter is to leave Napier to-day for Wellington and Lyttelton to complete loading for London. The vessel is to leave Lyttelton. finally on January 16. Tho New Zealand Shipping Co, will despatch the Cumberland from Wellington today for London, via Panama. The ship is now completing nor loading at Wellington. Mr H. Miller ia now third engineer of the Komata, vice Mir R. C. Turner. Mr F. L. Scott has erucooeded Mr F. E. Duggan as radio operator of the Maori. Mr S. Fawsctt has signed on the Wahine’a articles as assistant purser. The Canadian -Trooper is timed to sail from Vancouver on January 15 for Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. KATMAT DUE THIS MORNING. Tho Union Company’s now steamer KaJmai, from the United Kingdom and Hobart, is duo in the lower harbour early this morning. After being granted pratique by the port health officer. tho vessel will come to Dunedin to discharge a part cargo of timber. Sho will sail about Monday for Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington. ZEALANDIO TO LOAD. The National Mortgage and Agency Company advise that the White Star liner Zealandio is duo at Port Chalmers early this morning from Blnff to load dairy produce and general cargo for London. The vessel will sail to-morrow or on Monday for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland to complete loading. THE MELBOURNE SERVICE. Tho Union liner Moeraki. was dne at Melbourne on Wednesday from Dunedin and Bluff. The vessel ie expected to leave the Victorian port to-morrow for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. She should arrive at Wellington on January 15 and at this port on Jannary 18. CORNWALL FROM LIVERPOOL. The Federal Line steamer Cornwall arrived at Colon on Jannary 2, en route from Liverpool to New Zealand. The vessel is bringing cargo from West of England ports for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, L>l" telton, Dunedin, and Bluff. She is duo at Auckland about January 23. OORJNTHIO FROM ENGLAND. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Corinthic, which arrived at Wellington early on Wedneeday morning from London and Southampton, via Panama, brought a large contingent of passengers for New Zealand and cargo for Wellington and Lyttelton. She will afterwards load at Lyttelton, Bluff, Timaru, and Wellington, and is scheduled to leave the latter port on February 3 for Southampton and London, via Panama. RIUAHINQ3 FURTHER POSTPONED. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the departure of the Ruahine from Wellington for Southampton and London has been further postponed until 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 17. AOEANGI'S MAIDEN VOYAGE, The Union Company advise that the R.M.S. Aorangi, which left Southampton on January 2 on her maiden voyage, is expected to arrive at Kingston (Jamaica) on Jannary 14. CASE OIL FROM TEXAS. The Texas Oil Company advise that tbo steamer Homer City was expected to leave Port Arthur (Texas) on December 15 with case oil for discharge at Auckland and Australian ports. A steamer, not named yet, ie to leave Port Arthur during March, also for Now Zealand ports and Australia, and will run under tho same agency. NEWCASTLE COAL SHIPMENTS. Tho quantity of ooal (including bunkers) shipped at Newcastle during the week ending December 20 for places beyond the State was 82,369 tone, of which 66,555 tone represented shipments for Commonwealth and New Zealand ports, tho remainder, being for foreign ports. For the corresponding period last year the total was £122,024 tons. PASSENGERS FOB THE ISLANDS. The Canadian Government Lino steamer Canadian Traveller arrived at Port Chalmers yeaterda'y afternoon from Timaru, and wa» berthed at tho George street wharf to load a quantity of wool and other products for New York, Boston, and Halifax. On hexpresent voyage tho Canadian Traveller, after loading a full cargo, consisting almost wholly of motor cars and automobile spare parts, sailed from Montreal on October 9. She experienced fine weather on the run to Auckland, where she arrived on November 15 after an uneventful voyage of 37 days. The vessel proceeded from Auckland to .Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Having discharged the remainder of her cargo at those ports, she proceeded to Napier, then Wellington, Lyttelton, end Timaru to load dominion products. The steamer is to sail this evening for Auckland, where she will complete loading. Captain E. Randall is in command of tho steamer and has with him the following officers: —First, Mr E. Waiotapu, en route Wellington to Vancouver, left Fanning Island on December 31. She loads at Vancouver and San Francisco during January for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney, Sheafmount (chartered steamer) from Vancouver and San Francisco, is due at Auckland about to-day, and proceeds thence to Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and i'ew Plymouth. Trelyon (chartered steamer), from Vancouver and San Francisco, is due at Auckland about to-day, and proceeds thence to Melbourne, Sydney, and Newcastle. Company advises that the Dorset is to leave Auckland to-morrow tor Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin to oontinue discharge of her Liverpool cargo, ine vessel is due here about January 20, RUAPEHU PROM LIVERPOOL. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruapehu, with general freight Horn West of England ports to the agency of the Federal Lino, arrived at Dunedin yesterday afternoon. She was berthed at the Rattray street wharf to discharge tho local portion of her cargo. Tho Ruapehu loaded a full cargo at Avonmoulb, Newport, Glasgow, and Liverpool, and sailed from tho last named port on October 2C. Fresh south-weater-ly winds were experienced to the. Azores, where the north-east trades were picked up. The weather was fmo, until heavy rain was encountered in tho Caribbean Sea. Colon was reached on the evening of November 12, and while the vessel’s bunkers wore being replenished the passengers were allowed on shore. At mid-day next day tho Ruapehu resumed her voyage through the canal to Balboa, where the vessel stayed for a few hours to allow tho passengers to again visit the ehoro. Departure was taken from Balboa at 1 a.m. on November 14, and fine weather, with moderate to fresh, variable winds prevailed to Pitcairn Island, which was reached at noon on November 26. Throe boats from tho island visited the Ruapehu before she proceeded on her way an hour and a-half later. Generally fine weather continued to Auckland, where the steamer arrived on December 7. She proceeded thence to Wellington and Lyttelton to continue discharge. Captain A. W.' M’Kcllar is in command of tho Ruapehu. Ho has associated with him tho following officers;—Chief, Mr M. J. She will proceed from Port Chalmers to Wanganui roadstead. Now Plymouth, Lyttelton, and Wellington to complete loading, and will sail finally from tho latter port about January 31.
