LAND BOARD.

The ordinary meeting of the Otago Land Board was hold yesterday and was attended by Messrs E. S. Galbraith (chairman), C. JInder, Geo. Livingston, T. A. Munro, and Jas. Smith. APPLICATIONS FOR LAND. D. J. Donaldson applied to purchase sections 92 and 93, block 11, Tiger Hill Survey district, 18a Ir 19p.—Declined. John E. Corboy applied for an o.r.p. license over sections 32 and 36, block VII, Tarraa district.—Declined. John Reid applied to purchase an area of about one acre at Lowburn, adjoining section 26, block V, Wakefield district. —Del dined. The Public Trustee in the estate of Patrick Enright (deceased) applied for an occupation leave over an area of about 30 acres adjoining section 3, block V, Kawarau district. —Granted, subject to survey; rent to be fixed upon completion of survey. Mrs May Sanders applied to purchase section 5, block VI, Cairnhill district, area 2 3r IBp.—Granted under section 131 of Land Act, 1903; price £6. The disposal of sections 1241 b, block 111, and 1242 b, block I, Beaumont district was submitted for consideration. —Section 1241 b to be offered to R. T. Geeves and section 12428. to be offered to H. T. Paterson, each at £4 per acre. David L. Reid applied for a renewable lease over section 16, block XI, Waitahuna West district, containing 318 a3r 31p.— Granted. Andrew Sharp (Ltd.) applied to purchase section 14, block VII, Gatlins district, area 172 a Ir 20p.—Consideration deferred until a report is obtained. John Butler applied for a yearly license over area of about two acres adjoining his freehold in block X, Sutton district. —Declined. Application by H. C. Barker for license to occupy for pastoral purposes an area of approximately 16,000 acres in the Matukituki district.—Granted under section 130 of the Land Act 1908 at annual rental of £5, subject to conditions agreed to by Messrs Barker and Aspinall. APPLICATION FOR PEE SIMPLE. Section 52, block 11, Glenomaru, 150 a 3r 20p; Duncan M'Eachan. —Approved. APPLICATIONS FOR REVALUATION. Wm. Grazier, lessee of section 9s, Pukeawa Settlement, selected on December 14, 1921, applied for a revaluation of his. holding.—Referred to Revaluation Committee. Andrew Carruthers, lessee of section 14s, Pukeawa Settlement, selected on November 18, 1921, applied for a revaluation of his holding.—Referred to Revaluation Committee. MISCELLANEOUS.

Robert Collier applied for permission to place a few sheep m a paddock on Tate's farm for a few weeks.—Permission granted to graze 90 owes for six weeks from the Ist inst. at IJd per head per week. A. Shiels applied for permission to graze 10 to 12 head of young cattle on Wright’s farm at Puerua.—Action confirmed in granting permission at rent of £2 per month, subject to conditions. The board was asked to consider the question of determination of license over sections 1 to 16, block XVI, and 50, block XXIX, town of Herbert, the property having been abandoned. —License determined. The board was asked to cancel license granted to J. Gawn over the property lately held by W. H. Duncan. License determined from 30th ult. in terms of commissioner’s notification to license.

Part sections 31, 32, and 958 b, block IV, Hillend district, having been conveyed to the Crown by way of exchange for sections 64 and 65, same block, the board was requested to consider the disposal of same. —Licensee to be requested to send in license for amendment in accordance with the terms of the exchange. The board was requested to amend the resolution of November 12, 1924, by authorising payment out of valuation for improvements to the Clutha County Council of the sum of £ll 14s 3d, as overdue rates owing by the previous lessee of section 3a, Conical Hills Settlement. —Resolution amended accordingly. RENEWALS. Sections 91, 92, block I, and 4 and 5, block VIII, Leaning Rock, area 2232 a Or 02p; leasee, Mrs A. F. Secular; lease expires February 23, 1925.—Renewal granted from March 1, 1925, at annual rental of £lB. The Education reserve lease over section 18, block 51, Hawksbury town expires on April 30, 1925. Ranger's report received, and board asked to deal with the matter. — Lessee offered renewal .for’ a term of 21 years, from July 1, 1925, at an annual rental of 12s Gd.
