£23,000 FOR LIFE.
Mr James Parr, of Manchester, who died lately, left an estate valued at £197,275. He left to his housekeeper. Miss Theresa Hamilton, £23,000 for life* Much of this is in Corporation stock and Royal Exchange Building Stock, and on Miss, Hamilton’s death it is to be divided among various local hospitals.
Miss Hamilton had been in the service of Mr Parr, who was a bachelor of 83, for over 30 years. Her comment to a friend recently was, “It i s like him; he was vers good to me,” J*.
