N.S.WALES WHEAT CROP
RECORD YIELD PREDICTED. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, December 9. _ After an extended tour of the State s wheat area, the Sydney Daily Telegraph’s agricultural editor says: “Should nothing untoward in the way of weather intervene during the next three or four weeks a bumper harvest is assured. A record in the matter of quality cannot be looked for, but an absolute record in the yield per acre is a distinct possibility.” The previous record was 17.8 bushels per acre. The editor forecasts 18 bushels for this year’s harvest, with a total yield of well over 50,000,000 bushels.
