PRESBYTERY OF OTAGO. WEDNESDAY, 21st SEPTEMBER. Tho quarterly meeting of tho Presbytery of Otago took place this day in Dr Bums’s Church . . Tho Rev. Dr Bannerman moved the following motion; —“The Presbytery, having heard the Commissioners and having considered tho explanations given by them, resolve that a union be consummated between this Church and tho Presbyterian Church of the North on tho basis of an independent jurisdiction in tho several synods in regard to worship, discipline, and government and the temporalities of the Church . . .” Tho motion was carried unanimously without discussion. . .
