TLANTIC FLEET COMMAND CHANGE. (From Ode Ovjn Correspondent.) LONDON, August 16. Yesterday Admiral Sir John de Robeck brought to a' close his period as Commander-in-Chief of .the Atlantic Fleet, and hauled down his flag in the Queen Elizabeth. Sir John lias had over ten years of continuous service in command afloat as an admiral, having hoisted his flag in the Aboukir in July, 1914, as Rear-Admiral Commanding the Eighth Cruiser Squadron. During 1915-16 lie commanded the naval forces in the Dardanelles, and in 1916-18 was a division commander in the Grand Fleet, while in 1919-22. or until he took tip his present command, he was Commander-in-Chief in the Mediterranean. Admiral Sir Henry Oliver, who goes from the Admiralty to succeed him, will take over a reconstituted fleet, owing to the transfer of certain divisions to the Mediteranean, and will also hoist his flag in a new flagship, the Revenge. The fleet will reassemble under the new Commander-in-Chief for the first time at Portland. The Chief of Staff to Admiral Oliver will lie Commodore A. J. Davies, from the Excellent.
