NINE-ROOMED DWELLING DESTROYED. (Per United Press Abbociation.l BLENHEIM, September 19 A nine-roomed dwelling owned and occupied by Mr Reginald Win was totally destroyed by fire at Springlands. No water was available, and nothing in the way of fire fighting could be done. The insurance* total £650 in the New Zealand office, but the owner is a heavy loser. The origtn of the fire is unknown. There was no body at home at tho time of the outbreak. Tire City Fire Brigade received two cat’s yesterday, one at 1.40 pm. to a rubbish lire in Lynn street, Maori Hill, and another at 5 a.m. to the premises of Messrs A. and T. Inglis, where a -window cleaning company’s machine had ignited at the carburettor. Practically no damage was done in either cass.
