SMALLPOX IN ENGLAND
PREVALENT IN 91 DISTRICTS. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, September 18. (Received Sept. 19, at 7.50 p.m.) The Ministry of Health states that smallpox is spreading in - England and Wales, and is now prevalent in 91 districts. The total cases number 2750, compared with’ 1840 during the corresponding period of 1923. The outbreak is most severe in Derbyshire, where ' there ' are 1080 cases, and'in Nottingham with 434 cases. • Generally the disease is not fatal.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
