At a meeting of committee, held last night, the following arrangements in connection with tho race meeting on Saturday next, were approved;—Catering, Mrs M. Beatsou, Wingatui; booths, Mr M. H. Dawson, F arkside Hotel; band, Sir A. R. Gordon’s jazz orchestra. The following appointments were approved: —Judicial Committee —Messrs B. S, Irwin, T. Fogg, A. D Edgar, J. Trengrove, and J. Todd; hon. judge, Mr It. Conn; starter, Mr A. D. MTvor; clerk of scales, Me W. F. Dunne; hon. clerk of course, Mr K. G. Wheeler; hon. timekeepers, Messrs F. L Townsend and Jas. Todd; hon. veterinary surgeons —Messrs J. Danskin, W. D. Blair, and W. D. Snowball.

Tho Railways District Traflic Manager wrote submitting the train arrangements for the meeting, which were approved. The heertary of the Racing Conference wrote stating that Mr G. E. Curry would officiate as stipendiary steward, and Mr J. Torrance as racecourse inspector. Mr R. Conn (chairman of Kennels Committee) informed the committee that the new kennels, in course of construction, would be finished in a fortnight's time, and ho considered they would be the most up-to-date kennels in New Zealand. It was decided that the Maiden Steeplechase be run on the main course. It was unanimously decided that Mr J. Lindsay be appointed to the executive. Several new members were elected. CHESS.
