ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
PUKETIRI MOTOR MISHAP. ANOTHER VICTIM SUCCUMBS. (Per United Preen Association.! NAPIER. August 25. Archibald Robert Alexander, aged 18 years, another of' the occupants of me motor lorry which went over a bank near Puketiri on Saturday, died in the hospital this evening. His injuries were internal, and proved more severe than was at first thought. FOUND DEAD. (Per United p ress Association.) AUCKLAND, August 25. An elderly man was found dead tinder some trees in Albert Park. He had a bottle in his pocket containing a small quantity of poisonous disinfectant. Hie body has boon identified as that of John Redin, bootmaker, of Grey street. FOOTBALLERS INJURED. (Per United Pees* Association.) BLENHEIM, August 25. The Rugby match, Town v. Country, on Saturday was characterised by many accidents, five men having to leave the field. They wore all practically certainties for the shield and touring teams. They will not now be available. J. Coi-ry and J. Hounsell were sent to hospital, tho former with a dislocated shoulder and tho latter with a split collarbone. George West, a middle-aged married man, residing at 21 Main South road, was admitted to tho Hospital about 8 o’clock yesterday morning, suffering from slight injuries to the head, received through being knocked down by a motor car in Princes street.
