Mr J. S, Hislop was a passenger by the north train on Saturday morning on route for Wellington. Mr (4. A. Lamb, who has been on a visit to Invercargill, returned to Dunedin by Saturday’s express. Mr S. Bowman was a passenger by Saturday's sxpro&s for tho north on route to Wellington. The Hon. J. A. Hanan was a through passenger by the Invercargill-Christchurch express on Saturday on route to Wellington.
In tho Wellington competitions, Miss Madco Yates, of Dunedin, was placed first in Girls’ Recitation (14 to 16 years). Mr W. M. Singleton, Assistant Dairy Commifsioner, was a passenger by the express from Invercargill to Christchurch on Saturday, on route to Wellington. Mr L. B. Campbell, District Engineer of the Public Works Department, who has been transferred to Auckland, will leave for tho north this morning. Mr W. Peterson (Invercargill) arrived in Dunedin by the express on Saturday. He will go north bv the express this morning en rodte to Wellington. Mr Leo du Chateau arrived at Wellington from Sv(i no v by the TJlimaroa last week. He is risitincr his home in 'Wellington on a brief holiday, priod to proceeding to the East to represent Mr E. J. Oarroll. with a company headed by Sir Harry Lander.
Mr T. C. Bra.seh (secretary of the Dairv Control Board). Mr Backhouse (secretary' of the National Dairv Association), and Mr Dahl, of Palmerston who have been on a visit to Invorcararill. were through passengers bv the Invercargill-Christchurch express on Saturday. Mr H Harris left on Saturday morning for Wellington to represent the emnlovers at a conference in connection with the Printing Trades, and this morning Messrs W. W. Andrew, K. Baxter, and R. Ferguson will leave for the north to represent the emnlovees.
Air F. W. M'Tntosh. who has occupied the position of letter carrier in D'medin for some seven years. b".s been transferred to Christchurch. T-Tia colleagues in the service met hJm on .Friday evening when Mr W. Gladding (f-Unervisor). acting on their behalf, presented Mr M'Tntosh with a suit ease. Mr M'Tntosh will leave for his new home by this morning’s express.
