PRINCESS THEATRE.
FIVE NEW ACTS. With five new acts added to an already bountiful bill, the programme at the Princess Theatre to-night should be one replete with pleasure for patrons. Foremost among the new-comers and assured of tho warmest of welcomes is the Rev. Frank Gorman, affectionately known throughout Australia and New Zealand as “Tho Singing Parson.” With his unique gift of song and his preitty wit and pointed stories, he has always been a prime favourite with variety audiences, and there is little doubt that his re-appearanoo after a lengthy absence will constitute a rare draw. Other new-oomers are tho English pair, Hartley and Wright, whoso act, novel and entertaining, is billed as “Odds and Ends of Vaudeville.” Completing tho list are Fiery Jackson and Partner, whose comedy juggling and humour are said to be remarkably clever, and dexterous. Other noted artists are— Lilas Birt (a charming English character comedienne), Ronald Knight and Sheila Brady (two of the most talented vocalists who have yet appeared in this city), Mr Ronald Knight (a lino lyrical tenor with a very wide experience in Gilbert , and Sullivan, Revue and Variety), Miss Brady, der scribed as “The Irish Nightingale” (the possessor of a beautiful soprano voice). Five acts are retained from' last week, and these include the Scottish humorist, Mr Jock Mills, who has won the war-mart, vote of popularity, the topical comedians, Vande and Verne, whoso barbs of wit are directed with sure aim straight at the bump of humour of all classes of patron; James Stuart (the diverting tramp at tho piano); Lyons and O’Moorc, and Flunk Wilson.
